Perfax Builders Returns and Warranty Policy

At Perfax Builders we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines our procedures for returns and refunds in compliance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
1. Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you have consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. These guarantees mean that goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match the description. If these guarantees are not met, you are entitled to a remedy.
2. Eligibility for Returns
You may be eligible to return an item if:
The item is faulty or defective: If an item you receive is faulty or not of acceptable quality, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the ACL.
The item is significantly different from the description: If the item does not match the description or demonstration, you may be entitled to a remedy.
The item is not fit for its stated purpose: If the item does not do what it's supposed to do, you may be entitled to a remedy.
Change of Mind (if applicable - consider carefully and specify conditions):
Option A: No Change of Mind Returns: We generally do not offer returns for change of mind.
Option B: Limited Change of Mind Returns (e.g., within 14 days, item unused, original packaging, customer pays return shipping, a restocking fee may apply). Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order if you wish to return an item due to change of mind. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in resalable condition. Return shipping costs for change of mind are the responsibility of the customer. A [percentage]% restocking fee may apply.
3. Items Not Eligible for Return
The following items are generally not eligible for return:
- intimate or sanitary goods, - items supplied by owner and installed by Perfax Builders - second hand building materials
Items returned without prior authorisation.
Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
4. How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
Contact Us: Email us at perfaxbuilders@gmail.com or call us on 0414197545 within 7 days of receiving your order, explaining the reason for your return. Please include your order number and clear photos if the item is faulty or damaged.
Assessment: We will assess your return request and may ask for further information.
Return Authorisation: If your return is approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to return the item.
Packaging: Securely pack the item in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and documentation. Clearly write the RA number on the outside of the package.
Shipping: Send the item to the address provided with the RA number.
For faulty/defective items: We will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping.
For change of mind returns: You are responsible for the return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
5. Refunds
Processing Time: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Please allow 7 business days for us to process your return after it arrives.
Refund Method: If approved, your refund will be processed and applied to your original method of payment (e.g., Zip Money, credit card, PayPal) within 14 business days.
Zip Money Specifics: For purchases made with Zip Money, refunds will be processed back to your Zip Money account. This means your balance with Zip will be reduced, or if the refund exceeds your remaining balance, Zip will credit your linked payment method. Please refer to Zip Money's terms and conditions for details on how refunds are applied to your Zip account.
Partial Refunds: In certain situations, partial refunds may be granted (e.g., items not in their original condition, damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error).
6. Exchanges
Depending on the item's availability and the reason for the return, we may offer an exchange instead of a refund. If an exchange is agreed upon, we will ship the replacement item once the returned item has been received and inspected.
7. Damaged or Incorrect Items on Arrival
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the incorrect item, please contact us immediately with photos of the damage or incorrect item and your order number. We will arrange for a replacement or refund as appropriate.
